Philip Kindred Dick (December 16, 1928 – March 2, 1982) was an American science fiction writer. In addition to thirty-eight books currently in print, Dick produced a number of short stories and minor works which were published in pulp magazines. At least seven of his stories have been adapted into films. Books: Ubik, A scanner darkly, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, ... Movies from books: Blade Runner, Paycheck, Minority Report, etc

A scanner darkly is amazing.
People would be amazed if the knew the amount of films based on his books/stories. Reading his work can be laborious at times but worth the trouble. Brilliant.
amazing and addicting stories..definitely the best sci-fi writer
