i think petite women are little women, not SHORT. Petite is when you are proporcionated but you are little, like a fairy! Short is when you are not… proporcionated :P

Then why do they call people with disproportionate dwarfism "Little People?" I think petite means small and trim in figure. Like between 4'8" and 5'4" in height, and at or beneath a healthy weight to height ratio. Anyone disagree?

I don't think being a size 0 is the only way to be considered petite. My wife is 5'3", and not a size 0, and not only do I think she is petite, she happens to be the most beautiful woman in the world to me and always will be. I just don't understand why every term and word has to be so harshly defined. Every woman in this world has something beautiful to offer. Fitting into a certain label doesn't change that.

I'm petite, short wise and I guess weight wise. It's genetic, I can't help it. Petite usually means being short though, atleast that's what I always thought.

I am 5'1 110 lbs. My boyfriend is 5'7 about 280. We still ride together. . .but I'm afraid of slipping out of the bar. But it's nice to feel protected next to a big guy :)
