Inner peace (or peace of mind) refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy (homeostasis) and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss and happiness.
Peace of mind, serenity, and calmness are descriptions of a disposition free from the effects of stress. In some cultures, inner peace is considered a state of consciousness or enlightenment that may be cultivated by various forms of training, such as prayer, meditation, T'ai Chi Ch'uan or yoga, for example. Many spiritual practices refer to this peace as an experience of knowing oneself. Finding inner peace is often associated with traditions such as Buddhism and Hinduism.
Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, emphasizes the importance of inner peace in the world:
"The question of real, lasting world peace concerns human beings, so basic human feelings are also at its roots. Through inner peace, genuine world peace can be achieved. In this the importance of individual responsibility is quite clear; an atmosphere of peace must first be created within ourselves, then gradually expanded to include our families, our communities, and ultimately the whole planet."

Piece of mind is not answering all your questions… right? That’s just as bad as having an overwhelming number of questions. Piece of mind is not having to have all the answers. Has anyone here actually become an enlightened being yet?
the best thing you never actually get but you always long for, nothing could explain this state better I think.
Life is boring if there is nothing going on anyway :) I wish i could just calm down never mind anything else! :D
If there is absolutely no point to life, and you knew this for fact, that one day, the entire human races would be wiped out just like everything else, that we are all a result of the Big Bang, and that life is just an endless circular cycle, would piece of mind be possible? Or shall the person that draws himself/herself to this conclusion have nothing to look forward to but the sweet relief of death?
I would be happy still learning about life, but at peace not wanting for anything and not waiting for anything
Vano, yes, peace of mind is still possible if a person believes all those things you just did. I am one of those people. And I don’t necessarily look forward to death. I just accept that it will happen, just as every day after the next happens.
Our world is a dream. Infinitely fake. A nightmare. Your life, the struggle and worry, it’s all pointless. All your problems and love affairs. They’re an illusion. Just let go...
Whatever the life is, it's up to everyone to give it a sense, at least in personal life.
The one and only answer I got in my life on the question about what is the sense of this life was and still remains that it's something you choose or define.
Inner peace is not about answering all your questions, it's about knowing that any question can be answered :)
I've updated the description with the details from wikipedia, they are quite explanatory, thanks to wikipedia contributors.
And, yes, it's possible to achieve this state - it's mostly about coming to a harmony with the world you live in and understanding that your are a part of it, and not the only one :) When that understanding is in place, it should go easy from there.
The two important things to understand are that, first, some answers take time, some require actions to be taken, and that nothing happens by itself. There is always something applied to it, whether it's will, or effort, or patience, whatever it takes.
The second is that the answers you seek you may find anywhere, there is no universal source of answers but the world itslef :) It can be a dream, a movie, a song, a note on the internet you randomly stumble upon – anything.
As it is said, one who seeks will find it, just keep looking :)
