...Palawan is a culinary paradise. On the cliffs and in the caves are thousands of birds. From the birdsnest hotels and especially Chinese restaurants make the famous and delicious bird's nest soup. For the lovers of fish it's the place to be. Every morning the fishing boats bring fresh tropical fish, lobsters, crabs, shells, oysters and mussels. The flora and fauna of the islands is unique. There are plants and animals which only exist on these islands. For example Mouse Deer, King Cobra, rare butterfly's and parrots. You can enjoy here many nearly deserted white beaches. We fly to Puerto Princesa. With it's 210.670 hectares, Puerto Princesa is the second largest city area of the country. The city has a population from about 120.000 people.
Puerto Princesa is known as one of the cleanest city's in the Philippines. We visit the Palawan Museum located at the Mendoza park. Here we get an impression of the history, art and culture of the people and their mythology of this island group. We also visit the beautiful old cathedral. We go to Irawan and visit a crocodile farm. They have here a breeding program for some threatened crocodiles. By boat we go island-hopping in Honda Bay. We enjoy the beauty of the islands with their white beaches. We also visit Snake Island.
