Don’t let any God-botherer trouble you with talk of what may or may not happen after we all die, of somewhere infinitely better than this planet that’s waiting up there for the elected.

Don’t let them use their own eschatological needs and fantasies to evade responsibity for looking after our beautiful planet RIGHT NOW . If there’s a God up there we won’t find out until we live somewhere else what he/she really expects of us (if we ever DO get to live somewhere else). Furthermore, if there’s a God up there he/she will be pretty pissed with us if we don’t look after our current home, whatever he/she has planned for the future.

Lots of unspeakable things happen to people everywhere every day, and whether or not they deserve it is not an issue. Despite that, our planet is unspeakably beautiful, and the fact that IT exists, and that WE exist on it – either by design or accident – is miracle enough for one lifetime.

Enjoy the ride if you can, while you can, and help both spread the joy and ease the pain without relying on God to do so…
