I’m from Madrid, and I’ve been trying to get it right all day. Haven’t been lucky so far.”Ojcar” is the closest thing I can manage. Yeah, we’re phonetically challenge for words like this one, but that won’t stop me from trying.
Oh, no, no, no. I won’t give up. I know I can do anything I set my mind to do. All I need is believing in my dreams, and hard work. One day, I’ll get to pronounce every /s/ followed by a consonant in a proper way, and that day I’ll know there’s nothing else in the world I can’t achieve. And you can’t take that away from me. :P
And, yep, I’m hot, and I have to live with that and assume the consequences everyday, but man that’s another story, ‘cos I can’t fight that. You must know that yourself, too.
sighs Oh, yeah, I understand that having been born and raised in a small Sorian village as opposed to a big cosmopolitan city like, let’s say, Madrid, gives you a very limited view of life, but let me tell you that we here are moderm people who catch the underground, cook in microwaves, go to museums, speak languages and are in constant touch with vanguard and what’s going on in the whole world nowadays. Therefore, we could pronounce “Oscar” and any other similar word with any accent we pleased, if we wanted to.
The thing is, we don’t want to. We’re from Madrid and we’re cool cats prouder than a peacock. :P

Give up girl. It’s kinda genetic, like we Basque people can’t stop saying ‘¡Ahí va la hostia!’ all the time, even we’re not home.
You must live with that. Like you must live with the fact that you’re a hot girl too. Can’t do anything against that.

Which part of ‘you are from Madrid’ didn’t you understand? Where do I repeat from?
