Original Poster Should Be Able to change the Title(spelling) of the "stuff" or Category They Create

It’s a good idea and we’ve been thinking about that feature. The only problem is that someone could post something, it gets popular and then change it at a later date to something completely different. (And something spammy)

Maybe we have a time limit for that?

i’m feeling mighty nerdy right about now.. but yeah, i’d like to edit my posts for grammar’s sake.

Anyone should be able to change the spelling of an item they created if they’re still the only one that voted on it (or if no one voted on it yet). Thst harms nothing.

Beyond that, trusted members could probably handle changes that have been voted on, as long as that change is recorded somewhere somewhat visable. A little line next to “created by/last edited by” along the lines of “title edited from X to Y by Z on 03/12/07” would introduce some accountability, so anyone trying to game the system could be quickly reverted and untrusted.

Or at the very least, should be able to delete messed up entries, once the correctly spelled item is put up.

I am guilty of at least two spelling errors or misnaming of items… eep!
