""Tradition is the illusion of permanence". With all due respect, I'll think for myself thank you very much."
I think this might of been a rather arrogant comment. I am quite often sarcastic, but this was a sort of an annoyed response. I shouldn't let political views get to me as much as they sometimes do. Good quote, but not as good usage.
I do think what he said was arrogant as well, I just don't think my response gives me much room to talk.
"Tradition is slovenliness before God" - Gustav Mahler
I should probably make it clear that I quoted Woody Allen.
I never studied for the test!
There will be re-takes, don't worry.
This "Bestof" shouldnt exist and i dont wish to discuss it further…
Are you secretly "Greg England" and you use that account when you make posts you're afraid will create a stir? Because you used the wrong account.
Hmm... 'Greg England' has no favourite stuff at all... but maybe Vano's barking up the wrong tree.
Or maybe not. I'm too tired to think.
But Saddam said he doesn't want to discuss it further and he wasn't even in the conversation. Greg England wa the only one taking some side.
what is a greg england??
i was being closed minded – ha ha ha ?!!!!
!!

No, you were being clever! Very clever indeed. I don't know, this is all confusing, not that it really matters.
i hate it wen ppl go like im so open minded i always think outside the box n shit liek tht n then end up being the most close minded jerk ever!! its sooo pissing off!!!
Sorry? Could you say that in English, so that it makes some form of sense?
you not openminded enough to read a foreign language finrod ;-)
It's English trying to be something else. Doesn't that take too long trying to misspell every word like that?
I hate it when people say things such as "I am so open minded and I always think outside the box" and other such comments and then they go on to being what i may consider to be closed minded - I call these people Jerks as it upsets me a little.
Something like that!?
the fact people piss her off makes her not really openminded
If one is to understand the Great Mystery, one must study all its aspects. Not just the dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi.
everyone should be openminded especially about other people's choices and their own – life 2 short 2 regret all the shit u did in the past
I hate closeminded people!
Well just keep making openminded statements like that, and you'll be okay.
My mind is always open, but there's a strict dress code.
Did you make up that sentiment? Or is it a quote from somebody else? (Cuz it’s brill!)
That's a Hideous Monster original, Babe.
I´m an open-minded person, that´s why I´m so insecure, I have so many options that I dont know what to choose!
thats not really a prove to shw your openmindness
I'm sure there's a difference between openmindedness and indecisiveness.
I'm deffinately indecisive, but I'm not always openminded, even thought I try to be.
i was thinking, if your opinions are the right one, why beeing open minded? openminded sucks.
I don't think they can necessarily be wrong or right.
Your opinions are just your opinions, not necessarily 'the right ones'. All you have to do is be sure of your opinions and respect other people's ones, as they should respect yours.
Clarabella, aren't you breaking that rule by expressing that opinion of yours?
well hold on, why respecting other opinions in a situation where there is a good and a wrong?
Would any of you respect the opnion of GW Bush in the iraq war or are you just as i say you are?
Im not talking about taste like music. Although its possible there is bad music, with racism lyrics for instance.
Why should anyone respect the death penalty in a way china a the USA have that? Openminded would be like: It might be a good thing and so i dont protest against it.
I say lets be less openminded BUT more tolerant?
be openminded enough to question openmindness ;)
At least the death penalty is directed toward the right people, unlike some laws out there. And I would say the only thing I disrespect about Bush is the fact that a society would grant one individual so much power. Take the power away, and his opinions are as respectable as any other.
I don't really think so concerning all of his opinions.
I´m openminded! So what?
so it would be easier for us. or do you want to give me the whole yin yang shit?
In a sense, yes. All I'm saying is that you can't learn about one without learning its opposite, and usually, learning the bad is the most effective way of understanding the good. Now lets all have an abortion party, dump oil in the sea, and top it all off by bombing each other.
oh yeah i agree that, but like i said be more tolerant about our mistakes. and strife for better. Dont keep your mouth shut to make things better, even if its offending people. And like you said, learn from the past.
There's nothing wrong with abortion parties if a third party adult is present.
And be sure to wear the traditional coat-hanger necklace.
You don't even have to be pregnant to join in on the fun.
In fact, the party isn't over until no one is pregnant at all.
Then there will be a great feast. You don't have to bring anything at all. You'd be suprised at how well they cook on the grill.
Yep. Parties like those sure bring out the kid in you.
Hahah at HM.
