yes, music can be a real hotbed of differences… we all need to respect each others' choices, what we each want to listen to, and not criticise but keep an open mind... way to speak your mind man!

I like Twilight….i like the books more…....But im like a nobody at school…no one understands me …everyone thinks im emo but im not….im scene! GRRRR and everyone makes fun of my favorite band in the whole entire world…My Chemical Romance…i love them more than my own life and it makes  me feel bad because they always say rude things to them like my brother keeps saying "There F*ing Gay it  fing bull*!" AND I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like twilight, but when i say that at school it is like "Isn't that the movie with the zombies". But it is not an obsession, I ain't an Edward fan. I'm obsessed with apples and country music. Okay i'm different, and i love it!

I think what's important is just to be true to what you like, regardless of what others say. If you love something uber popular there's no shame in it! It's only a problem if you force yourself to like it because it's popular.

There are some pop culture phenomenons which I, too, love, and there are those which I hate.

I also obsess over some random and obscure things. Some of my obsessions (popular or not) are the "guilty-pleasure" type and some are the "proud-to-love-it" type. It's all a nice little mishmash I like to call my life.

Okay, I like Twilight, but I'm not really obsessed with it. (Only, like, 2 girls at my school like it, and one of the girl's so-called boyfriend) AND I DO NOT LIKE HANNER MONTANER WHATSOEVER!!!

I have always loved vampires and everyone made fun of me, then Twilight came out and everyone is obsessed with vampires and werewolves. I still like Twilight though. Whenever I get interested in a small band or solo artist they start to get popular a few months later.

EXACTLY! everyone has a mind of there own, and i understand if they like something that happens to b cool, but if you pretend to like it just because its "IN", thats wrong. go with your gutt! And i kind of agree wit the TwLIGHT comment, it was an all right book series, but people give it a bit too much credit. the movie sucked,lol. I liked the whole vampire thing, and edward in my mind was pretty hot, but they have snap braclets. SNAP BRACLETS!!??? its crazyness.

Yea this is so right! Im like the only one at school who doesnt like twilight… even though i watched the movie, but that was coz my friends forced me to… and almost every asian person i no likes jap stuff, or basically japan..i do not! and every asian thinks jaejoong(dbsk) and TOP are hot. Nah-uh.

yeah this definitely reminds me of twilight.. i just refuse to "jump into the madness" and my friends are looking at me like i have suddenly grown three heads.. i just don't dig it.. and if that makes me different then i am cool with it.

Sunshinetaco is, as usual, right. How about we just obsess over whatever it is that comes naturally, regardless of whether or not other people do? You can't force an obsession. It just comes about. It's irresistable. If you can choose what you obsess over, it's not a true obsession. It's just an obsession with having an obsession.
