Not Being Obsessed with Twilight or Tokio Hotel

Somehow I think this site for the Best Stuff in every category has become a Fansite for Tokio Hotel and Twilight, and that's it. Sad, I used to love this site.

Diddo to the stuff said about Twilight. But I'm learning more than I ever wanted to know about Tokio Hotel from this site. I had no idea there were twins, and that Bill guy has about 12 pages a day with at least 10 people adding the pages if they've got anything to do with him. It's enough to make anyone who doesn't like him want to leave this site for good. I've listened to their stuff once..and that was enough to show me I'll never listen to them again. And being bombarded with their stuff isn't going to change my mind…

I'd never even heard of them outside of the internet...I don't think most people in the US will ever like them. They're just not our type. I could be wrong, but here, most teenage girls go bonkers over the Jonas Brothers instead.

I don't hate Twilight, the book. I thought the movie was crap, but telling someone to go to hell for their opinion is ridiculous. Most of us simply like the fact that we can like other things and not be obsessed with what everyone else is obsessed with.

ha ha! you’re so funny waxtadpole. i love that sardonic unwillingness to surrender to what everyone else is obsessed with at the moment. i have to reserve my criticisms mainly for twilight though- i mean who ever heard of a vampire that sparkles… surely that would GIVE it away, tell people it was coming after them. for pete’s sake, Meyer- go back to writing school. tsk. love the Nosferatu picture. actually, i don't know if i can be bothered adding this; all this Twilight and Tokio Hotel hysteria might eventually die down anyway... Well I've read Twilight and New Moon, I've seen the movie but ... I don't understand why is so famous now. 

I read Twilight before it was kewl to read Twilight. But now everyone is really into it. I guess I understand. But the film was crap and the novels were not all that good. To be honest, Stephenie Meyer fails at storytelling. All 4 books are driven by the readers interest in the characters not the plot. I wish someone else would have written them, perhaps then they would not have been so dull.

As for Tokio Hotel, it bothered me at first. Now, I've learned to live with it. But you are right Kait, I too have learned more than I would have liked to learn about them. I thought the lead singer was a girl. I'm still not all that sure he/she is not. And I had never heard of them in outside the internet.

I read Twilight ages ago. People took one look at the cover and turned their noses up at it, but I liked it. I became friends with someone over New Moon. But then, out of the blue, fangirls started popping up everywhere, and Stephenie Meyer let the fame go to her head, or was "experimenting", when she wrote Breaking Dawn. And the movie-oh, don't get me started. I liked it at first, but it's total B.S. now. I might delete the bests I had for it off here, I'm so sick of it. As far as Tokio Hotel goes, I've never seen anything about them anywhere besides here. It's just another fad. They will eventually disappear. Hopefully.

The series was  pretty bad, I couldn't even finish the last book. But anyway, I hate how attached people get.. it's just silly.
