The birth of Darth Vader! I can forgive George Lucas for the atrocious Star Wars prequels, just for the fact that I nearly wet myself at the cinema when ol’ DV ripped out this gem… and from the amount of parodies I’m not the only one!

Yeah that ‘no’ was very un-darth-vader-like. He just killed 90 odd children jedi (younglings) and then he finds out that his wife dies; and all he says is ‘no’?
He should have flipped out like a Ninja! Would have made for a better movie, I’m sure…
It’s THE BEST because it is so far beyond lame that it comes right back around to being THE BEST . It’s like they got the “Noooooo!” from the Duracell battery commercial where Vader is in battle and the batteries run out on his lightsaber.
It was supposed to be a poignant moment and everyone at the cinema laughed. I’m convinced bleedin’ George “no neck” Lucas can’t direct…
He never could! Great storyteller but when it comes down to motivating actors, forget it.
And the best Star Wars film, at least in my eyes, is one of the two he didn’t direct.
