No to Racism

Though the term racism usually denotes race-based prejudice, violence, discrimination, or oppression, the term can also have varying and hotly contested definitions. Racialism is a related term, sometimes intended to avoid these negative meanings. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, racism is a belief or ideology that all members of each racial group possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another racial group or racial groups. The Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines racism as a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular racial group, and that it is also the prejudice based on such a belief. The Macquarie Dictionary defines racism as: "the belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule or dominate others."

I don't see where JD made a racist commnet at all. She didn't compair one to the other, didn't say one was better than the other, just stated an opinion.     As for Mr. Obama, I think as far as the US is concered, it is about time we elected someone other than a white man for president, and ok if he's not black, he is African American, no denying that either. Becasuse it is still to new a concept for most to see as not being different, there will be lots of referances to his race, and not rasist ones.

Everyone is racist to some degree, if you deny that you only lying to yourself.  I try to treat everyone on an individual basis, but definetly get frustrated with racial or ethnic groups.  Stereotypes are based on facts, they are what they are for a reason.  Like Jewish people have money, Italian people are pushy, or black people are lazy.  They are all based on a statistical fact, but to treat every individual as a result of these stereotypes is wrong.  People need to learn how to concentrate on there own lives and not what people think about there racial or ethnic group, that is the only key to success.

Hey!! Don't judge anyone by their colour of skin.!! We're all human beings and All differents!!! It's Right: Say Not To Racism!!!
