Nikola Karabatic just is the best handball player in the world.
He plays in Germany for the THW Kiel (record champion), but comes from France and naturally plays for their national team.
With Kiel, as before in France, he won champions league, the national league and the european league.
With France he did the second place in the European Championship.
The THW Kiel had to raise the costs for a ticket in the local arena, due to Karabatic being an extremely expensive and demanded player.
Karabatic stayed in Kiel even though he got a better offer from Spain, because he likes Kiel and their fans so much ^^
