The little green puppet with a BIG MOUTH ! (and heart) This puppet parody star is certainly one you won’t forget!
Avenue Q is a Broadway parody of Sesame Street, aimed at an adult audience with a wicked sense of humor.
Nicky is based on Sesame’s Ernie and lives with his roomate Rod (based off of Bert). True to form, Nicky and Rod are ALWAYS in a fight about something, even though they’re such good friends. One day, Nicky decides to confront Rod about something. (at this point it is very obvious that Rod is a closet homosexual, and doesn’t want to admit it.) Nicky asks Rod through the song “If you were Gay” about his secret. Nicky, who is jobless and never paid the rent anyway, is kicked out into the streets! (poor nicky!) I absolutly LOVE Nicky!! He is the BEST PUPPET EVER !!!
