Nana (ナナ, Nana?) is a shōjo manga by mangaka Ai Yazawa, serialised in Cookie, published by Shueisha. The first twelve volumes of the series have cumulatively sold over 22 million copies.1 There are two main characters and some confusion may arise due to the fact that both characters share the same name, Nana. What sets them apart, however, is the stark difference of their personalities. One Nana has a childlike innocence and can never keep control on reality and the other is a strong, beautiful singer in a punk band.
Nana is released in North America by Viz Media in Shojo Beat magazine. The manga has also been adapted into a highly successful live-action movie with a planned sequel already announced, and an anime adaptation that premiered on April 5th, 2006. taken from Wikipedia

NaNa is the best anime i've ever seen.... i like nana's personality and the way she acts... and her songs are great...
Manga's finished already. 2/3 towards the ending the story entirely shifts to Oosaki Nana rather than Komatsu Nana. Komatsu Nana (Hachiko) just ends up having kids with Takumi and went on a search for the lost Oosaki Nana. Later on, a punk singer becomes popular but no one knows her real identity. She does bear a "ren flower" tattoo on her arm, so much like Oosaki Nana's. That's the ending and it's so open-ended…gives the fanfic writers much to write about.
