Unless they happen to be caught on film or are otherwise very public, I imagine there’s rarely any way to know if anyone’s ‘famous last words’ are authentic. But I like the wallpaper quote too much to wear my skeptic hat for this one. :)
Indeed. And I still consider this to be his last words, because he was dying and, let’s face it, they were, after all, some of his last words, right?
You should look up last words on Wikipedia. I was doing that the other day, and my, it is fun.

Thoreau was particularly clever.
And some are so ironic. What fun.
Hah! I am already a Wikimedia user/contributor/junkie/whore, so Wikiquote was the first place a went to make sure I had the wording right. Didn’t see their last words collection, though. Very fun.
I’m told “wiki” means “quick” in Hawaiian. That doesn’t make your story make any more sense, but it could possibly make it more dirty, if that’s any consolation.

Indeed. Though I did hear that he said that a fwew weeks before he died. Who knows?

Wikiwhores are the best whores.

(I don’t know what I’m saying tonight.)

Ohhhh my, that throws a wonderful new light on the whole situation.
Indeed. Also, that tremedously useless piece of knowledge is overjoyed at my having cited it in conversation.
oh, that oscar wilde was a clever one.
