"C" posted over 2 years ago: Music is probably the art form with the least boundries-it doesn’t have to be translated like literature or installed in a museum. It transcends eras, cultures, genders, generations. This should be fundamental to most of the music we hear, and if people were aware of this, music executives would be forced to sell more real music. This is an especially salient point since music education is missing in most schools-small kids who don’t take these classes grow up to be fifteen-year-olds easily separated from their cash by anything with enough bass. Had they learned to distinguish good music from bad, we wouldn’t be suffering for their ignorance now.

Vano posted over 2 years ago: I’m guessing what you’re talking about is rap/hip hop/etc. Do you honestly think that if we were taught that this isn’t technically real music, that all of a sudden people would decide not to listen to it anymore? Everyone has a different style. That’s not my forte, but people don’t listen to it because they think it qualifies as music, they listen to it because they like what they hear.

I also listen to it, even though it isn’t the type of music I most love. Still, most of the people only listen to it because it’s cool, and they’re friends do to. I’m more of a rock person, but still, lot’s of my friends aren’t. Of course I’m talking of 15/16 year-olds. Anyway, not everyone I know is like that. There is’t jus hip hop/rap and rock. There are people who listen to other stuff.

And I son’t mean to say that hip hop is wrong or anything like that. I mean to say that it has totally lost what it was supposed to be. And maybe you can answer to this…. why are all the men dressed and the women almost naked?
