MSN Messenger is a freeware instant messaging client that was developed and distributed by Microsoft in 1999 to 2005 and in 2007 for computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system (except Windows Vista), and aimed towards home users. It was renamed Windows Live Messenger in February 2006 as part of Microsoft's Windows Live series of online services and software.
MSN Messenger is often used to refer to the .NET Messenger Service (the protocols and server that allow the system to operate) rather than any particular client.

I’d feel alone without my msn. I’m on it 24/7. I don’t sleep in my bed anymore, moved to a couch so I can have my computer close by to wake up in the middle of the night ot check my messages. MSN Messenger is my social life.

Skype, iChat or even GoogleTalk are better than MSN Messenger. The first two have a great voice and video quality when comparing to msn. Use GoogleTalk or iChat (aim, aol) if you like standard protocoles. Try others before you say that msn is the best!
Just for the record: AOL has 41.6 million users in the USA , Yahoo has 19.1 million and MSN has 14.1 million.

I admitt, it’s one of the best messenger because AIM and yahoo instant messenger kinda suck. I have less problems with msn than i do any other ones
yeah i like msn more than AIM or yahoo as well because you can upload your picture and use live webcam and stuff. I just think in general that AIM and yahoo suck.

Hmm, I think it’s better than AIM .
I like just being online most of the time. That way I can see whose online, and where everybody is, if they're sleeping..lotsa stuff!

i was wondering becuse i friend with vista had troubles recieving files. But then it's totally her own fault :P

Even as a Mac devotee, I prefer MSN to AIM.
I’ve gotten into some pretty crazy group conversations on MSN…=/
It's the only one I use but I do think it kinda sucks a little. I like simple things. After all, I used to use mIRC. No lame icons, animations and stuff like that, command line, text, text, text and text. If I could add my MSN Messenger contacts to Goggle Talk without any trouble, I would probably use that one since it's simplier.
I've had Yahoo!, ICQ, AIM, Gaim, and MSN and so far the results are...
MSN #1!
Note that I am smart in computers, and have the Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems all over here. Pidgin, I find, works very well on Linux. Gaim is okay. As for the other 2 Operating Systems, MSN is the best. HANDS DOWN.
