Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (IPA: [ˈvɔlfgaŋ amaˈdeus ˈmoːtsart], baptized Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart) (January 27, 1756 – December 5, 1791) was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born to Leopold and Anna Maria Pertl Mozart in Salzburg, the capital of the sovereign Archbishopric of Salzburg, in what is now Austria, then part of the Holy Roman Empire. His output of over 600 compositions includes works widely acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, piano, operatic, and choral music. I love him!! HE’s my God of the music!! O_O
You only have to listen to a work like the Clarinet Concerto or the 40th Symphony or Don Giovanni to realise that this was a phenomenally gifted man… David Bowie? Damien Rice? Hendrix? Not even in the same league.
He’s a REAL genius…I can never understand how a mere person can create such beautiful music.
He didn’t, either. Presumably he didn’t try to in case he broke the spell.
I love all of the top composers, but Mozart, his music has something about it that no mere mortal has been able to capture.
Absolutely right. I sometimes wonder if he noticed all the touches he put in.
There’s one bit that was pointed out to me in the 40th symphony, 1st movement:
Bars 114-118: the violas + cellos/basses play the main tune in E minor, while the violins accompany with a ‘broken chord’ pattern
Bars 118-122: the violas scurry downwards for three beats and then start playing the accompaniment that the violins have just finished, while the violins pick up the main tune. That’s called inversion, but on top of that – and this is the bit that has me shaking my head in disbelief and looking again – we are now in D minor, and he’s just transposed down a whole tone (an unusual thing to do, because it usually sounds awkward) without anyone really noticing. The man had awesome skill with music.
O but playing his music drives me real crazy lol
Who added “best singer”? You’re joking right? When ever was Mozart famous for his singing Who ever added that….dude you seriously need to brush up on your history!!
He's a gifted one. His music sounds as brilliant and spirited as he is.
My favorite, however, is the Requiem (which's not so spirited, but still brilliant).
Because Süssmayr wrote some of the unfinished bits.
I think the Domine Jesu Christe is the best part.
I don't listen to clasical music to often, but I have to give him props for his crazy sense of humor.
His Requiem haunts me, because I often wonder how one man could possibly contain so much musical aptitude and clarity and .. well, none of these nouns are quite capturing my thoughts, but I suppose you get the point.
I love all the works from Mozart. He got all the talent that people have. Something is beyond my believe. I cannot express more feelings of respect to this great composer:)

i loved all the piano piece…my god…he is my role model..i m also gonna be a successful musician!
Mozart's music touches me above all great composers. I have listen to a fair few composers in my time believe me and nothing touches me on such a deep and spiritual level like Mozart. I have moments of clarity when listening to his music which I can't really explain.
There have been moments that I have cried hearing Mozart, not because it was a sad piece or was supposed to envoke an emotional reaction but because it is so amzing and were tears of joy. The reason being that I believe no human could have possibly been soley responsible for this creation and must have been a vessel or a conduit if you like from something greater. Call it inspiration from God if you like. Like a musical prophet.
You must believe me- I'm not trying to sound pretencious or anything. I love Beethoven's music dearly and have so much of his work yet he is a very human composer. Full of the anguish and pain of mankind as far as I see it. I even think that in some musical genres Beethoven surpasses Mozart such as the Piano Sonatas. I have Brendel and Lupu playing them and feel privaledged to have heard them in the flesh. I love Rachmaninoff also and of course Bach and Brahms. I always go back to Mozart though. When I hear the word 'genius' I automatically think of Mozart.
I only hope that people can have a similar experience when listening to his music.
