Beyond the “Picasso owned one of these!” marketing is a lovely notebook. Buy one and try not to stroke it lovingly…
when people ask you on the train “what are you writing in your moleskine?” you almost always have to reply “dark poetry, of course…”
It’s so…artsy. But not pretentious.
The paper is extremely smoooth without being glossy. They are an absolute pleasure to write on, the pen just moves. Moreover, you can get them ruled, blank or in grid. Personally, I prefer the grid style… Also, the binding is very strong. I hate it when notebooks fall apart after a few years.
