Men Crying

In Western culture, for the last several centuries or more, men have been strongly discouraged from crying most of the time. I very much disagree with this standard.

After all, men are human beings, and human beings need to cry from time to time. There's no shame in that. It's unfair that women like me and my mother and sisters are allowed to cry without being ridiculed, and yet my husband or my father might get made fun of if he needed to cry.

I hope one day soon things will be different, and it won't be seen as shameful if a man cries.
