Melbourne

I idolise Melbourne from afar, but really, were the Commonwealth games and the Grand Prix all that great?

You could have had me with just three of those words: Cheap .Rent.Trams.

I’m with you Mikey! Rent’s cheap, housing is good, food is great quality and variety, nightlife is abundant and laid-back, great live music, excellent shopping, an actual community vibe…and the weather’s not so bad!

You forgot to mention the Queen Victoria Markets Emoolilu! Remember your penchant for the $10 three fancy cheese deal? And the best coffee? And the best organic food selection? And the cheapest food anywhere! And what other market in Australia has thousands of dead bodies under it’s car park?

Although I now live in Byron, which has many climatic advantages, Melbourne is the best city in the world for a young creative person (without children).

Not that it’s bad for kids but its not the best.

the music scene is a hundred million times better than sydney's, it's full of lovely freaks, everyone is friendly, the homeless people make art, the bars and clubs are awesome... what more can i say? :P

im a 16yr old melburnian from north in epping! i lov my city! itz awsom....i always get home sik wen i leav! for holidays hehe

but yer itz jus so beautiful.....the city has evrythin.....the beaches are beautiful! the weather can be abit suprisin at times HAHA!

but yer melbounre is AUST best city...sydney is jus lik so last yr lol!

but the only thing melbourne could do wit is a theme park! :)  cioa! rok on mel!

I'm from Perth but I go to Melbourne almost every month to shop! Love how cosmopolitan and chic everyone is.

i really really wish i lived there..

Went there for an end of school holiday…was meant to go to museums and stuff, but ended up shopping the whole time. Wish I had had longer, to really soak it all in…that would have been amazing. But melbourne city is very nice.

Im 15 and i live in Geelong and HATE IT!!!! But i am so excited to move to Melbourne!!! We visit our familt there and we love where they live! We love the friendly people, the multiculturalness, the city, shopping, the lifestyle, cafes, bay beaches, and everything about it!!! Melbourne feels like my home, and i cant wait to move there (caroline springs) I feel depressed whenever i leave there to come back to geelong. BTW do not live in geelong, it may look nice but its actually a dump, full of bogans and unfriendly racist people. LOVE YA MELBOURNE!
