Matt Cohen

Matthew Joseph Cohen (born September 28, 1982) is an American film and television actor. He plays Aiden Dennison on the teen drama South of Nowhere.

Cohen was born in Miami, Florida. He is Jewish.1 When Cohen was in high school, he preferred art classes such as photography and sculpting over the required academic courses. He felt art teachers understood him and allowed more personal expression and creative freedom. Despite is fondness for art classes, Cohen did not ignore his other schoolwork and graduated from high school with a 3.8 GPA. Once Cohen graduated, he moved on to study business at Florida State University, whereupon taking some theater classes he decided to become an actor, though it had been a closet dream for some time. At 21, he met a manager, Sharon Lane, in Florida who arranged meetings for him and suggested he move to Los Angeles where finding work would be much easier. Taking her advice, he left college and moved to Los Angeles. After ten months of auditioning, Cohen secured a lead role on South of Nowhere. His other credits include an episode of The O.C and Boogeyman 2 which is slated for release in 2008.
