Zoey is a high shcool girl who has always saw herself as an outcast. All she's ever wanted was to fit in and belong. One regular school day she is in the hall talking with her best friend Kayla and notices a vampire looking at them from a far. The next thing Zoey notices is that she has been "Marked" and has to move to the House of Night where they will help her with the change. Zoey has been gifted with unusual powers and again finds it hard to fit in. Also not everyone survives the change. As she settles in she gains some new friends. Zoey finds herself changing much quicker than anyone expected and finds herself in some difficult situations that she must face...
