American thrash metal band from Oakland, California formed in 1992. The band comprises founder and frontman Robert Flynn, guitarist Phil Demmel, bassist Adam Duce and drummer Dave McClain. Since its formation, Machine Head has released six studio albums, one live album, and DVD. In 2008 they recieved a Grammy Nomination for their 2007 album The Blackening.
