I'm not sure it's as black and white as that. I mean, why can't it be that you can't truly know sorrow till you've been happy or in love? One of them had to come first. There's a whole psychology thing behind it. However, it is true that when you have extreme highs (like feeling really in love), later on, you'll have extreme lows. It's the chemicals in your brain that do this in order to keep a balance. With every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. Except, that doesn't mean it will be necessarily pain. there are many opposites and equals that go along with love or happiness.

Yeah, but there are mistakes in nature. They're not seperate species, they're humans with either emotional imbalances or biological ones. My whole family suffers from it, I'm pretty sure they're human.

I think it would take a subspecies to start a stupid conversation like this in the first place. The world, especially now is pretty fucked up. It takes either a very strong or a very ignorant person to not be depressed in this day and age.
