Laughing at Others' Misfortune

The other day I was watching MTV ’s “True Life: I have tourettes” and I one point I couldn’t stop laughing.

I am a bad bad bad person. :(

i can’t help laughing at others when they fall but i say sorry afterwards so it is ok.

Watching people fall down will never lose its comedic value.

I don’t feel that awful afterwards :D I’ve had it both ways, I’ve laughed at, and been laughed at, yes it’s true. I prefer to be the laugher!!!

Laughing at people when they get mentally or emotionally hurt isn’t so funny, but when they get physically hurt…Hilarious!! Ya know, like when a skateboarder breaks their leg after landing a jump, that’s mighty funny

Schadenfreude is, I believe, the term. I once saw a drunk guy getting his head get caught in the train doors constantly. He didn’t move thanks to alcohol, and the doors just kept trying to close! His mates were on the platform laughing, and everyone in the carriage was too. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!

When someone falls, even if it’s me who fell down, I find myself laughing. Loud.

I agree, its always funny when you fall. Atleast we can make fun of ourselves, some people just run around and get pissed when we laugh lol.

The other week I fell in a river (lolz, don't ask), I got no sympathy, just laughed at, possible payback for the hundreds of times I've laughed at others? Karma is a bitch ;).

Hahaha in a river?! Please, do tell how that happened!

We have two puppy labs, who were both off the lead and who were both behaving beautifully, until one of them decided to make a run for the river and jumped in. The idiot went under and started to panic, I walked down the river bank to try and get him out, on my way slipped (I'm covered in brusies now), and went in (and under!) :( My father had to pull me out, all the while my sister was just pissing herself laughing at me.

Please note: the puppy was/is fine.  :P
