“Lady Grinning Soul” is a song written by David Bowie for the album Aladdin Sane (Track 10) in 1973. The piece is a James Bond style song.
It has been noted by various Bowie biographers that the inspiration for this song came after David’s first meeting with American soul singer Claudia Lennear during his 1972 USA tour. (the Lady in the picture)
