Kwai Chang Caine was a priest at a Shaolin temple, where his son Peter also lived and studied. The temple was destroyed and father and son each thought the other had perished in the fire. For many years, Kwai Chang 'walked the earth,' while Peter became a big-city cop. Finally, they are reunited and now together they battle evil, using wisdom, martial arts, and occasionally even Peter's service pistol (only as a last resort).

Boourns! David Carradine stole this role from Bruce lee… X/
Yeah, I heard of that. Of course Carradine is nowhere near Bruce Lee's standard.
Not even close. Hollywood chose a white guy cause the public wasn't ready for an Asian hero… sad isn't it, considering Carradine was playing an Asian…
Yeah man. Not only he's not an Asian, he's also not a martial artist. He was just a dancer.
A dancer?! oh Christ… now i'm even more pissed! Lee was truely one of a kind, sure he wasn't a very good actor, but his talent more than made up for that. Look at the stars of today, Jean Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Tony Jaa… these guys can't act! It's only because of guys like Bruce, the ones that paved the way into the mainstream cinema, that they have any kind of success. It tears me up that he never got to live to see how much he changed the game…
Got that rite. In Bruce Lee's autobiography, he said he was auditioning this role in a new TV series. Apparently the series is about a kungfu master who lives in the city and helps the cops. He was really pissed off that he lost the role to a dancer who happens to be a caucasian. It's a pity that a guy like Bruce Lee never got his fair share of the fame. I guess that's what happens to pioneers. But I do think that Jackie Chan is quite good. He brings another dimension to the martial arts/action mainstream. Other guys like Jet Li, Van Damme and Tony Jaa, well they just trashing people around with cool moves, something that Bruce Lee started already. And Bruce Lee does it even better!!!
I do like Jackie Chan as well, he brings a comic element that Bruce didn't possess, and he went through more than his fair share of 'hard knocks' to get to that point in his career. He attended an opera school where he went through rigorous and borderline abusive training to hone his skills, and he actually got his start as a stunt double for bruce in Chinese Connection.
