Kiichiro is a drug addict and criminal used by Light to trick Raye into revealing his FBI badge to Light. Osoreda had failed in an attempt to rob a bank, shooting a teller and two customers as he escaped. Light writes Osoreda's name in the Death Note, dictating his actions. Osoreda boards Bus #124, bound for Spaceland, and holds a gun with six bullets to the head of the driver. Osoreda threatens Light as he unwittingly picks up a piece of the Death Note. Due to this, Ryuk appears solely to Osoreda, frightening the criminal. Osoreda empties his ammunition into Ryuk, who does not die. Osoreda forces Sasaki to stop the bus and then runs into the street. As he sighs in relief with his hands on the ground, a Nissan car hits Osoreda's head, killing him at 11:45 AM. Light coaxes Penber to reveal his identity during this incident. In the film, Osoreda goes to the Okugawa Bus Stop at 10:12 A.M. and begins the busjacking. Osoreda is hit by a dark green Isuzu Bighorn immediately after exiting the bus, and he dies on March 29, 2006. Light and Shiori take a taxi after Osoreda dies.
