KFC means Kentucky fried chicken. Or as they say in China, the House of the Venerable and Inscrutable Colonel. Venerable because of his white goatee (a badge of infallibility in Confucian eyes), inscrutable because he took the secret of the 11 herbs and spices to his grave.
