Ken (Kitamura Ken) known as “ken”, was born in Osaka, Japan on November 28, 1968. He is the guitarist of Laruku, or L'arc~en~Ciel. He is also one of the band's primary composers. He also has done several solo projects, including Sons Of All Pussys or S.O.A.P. (currently inactive) and Ken Curlyhair.
Ken left his school to join L’ArcenCiel in 1992 at the request of his childhood friend Tetsu. He has composed multiple songs for L’Arcenciel, and written lyrics for songs such as Lover Boy, Lost Heaven and Pretty Girl. Today he is known as one of the best guitarists in Japan and promotes Gretsch and ESP.
On 23.08.2006 Ken released a solo single titled "Speed" referring to himself as just Ken. He ahs since released an album titled 'In Physical' and a mini-album titled 'The Party'.
