Nino joined Johnny & Associates at the age of 13 on June 19, 1996.

Before Arashi, Nino was in MAIN with Matsumoto Jun, Ikuta Toma and Aiba Masaki, Best Beat Boys (B.B.B) and Beatiful American Dreams (B.A.D) with Aiba Masaki.

Once planned to go to America to study directing/producing by December 1999, but gave it up when his debut as Arashi was announced in September.

Nino can play (among others) guitar, bass, piano, drums and harmonica. He is also good at gymnastics and cooking.

Hobbies include singing, guitar-playing, music production, creative writing (songs, fiction, etc), baseball, and videogames.
