“Jumper” is a song by the American rock band Third Eye Blind, released on their 1997 self titled album, written by vocalist Stephan Jenkins. Released as a single, the song peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In the commentary found in the pages of A Collection, Jenkins says that this song addresses the feeling you get when you see somebody’s spirit wounded and how it is sometimes difficult to cope with. The song may also be about a friend of Jenkins’ who committed suicide and how he wishes he could have done more to save his friend. (Wikipedia.)
This song was covered by Bedlight for BlueEYES.

I find it interesting that the cover version sounds a lot sadder than the original. Third Eye Blind made their song sound hopeful at least. Love them anyway.
