I Do not really like his early works(the first 3are more poppy albums) after he really developed his tallent he was playing more free and made really nice performances live.Like the band of gysys and live at berkeley nstuff.

For those who don't know. Jimi hendrix was considered a pop artist during his time because he fit the description of an extremely popular, enigmatic, and marketable artist. Being a pop artist doesn't have to mean good or bad. Today it does because people listen to terrible uninspired music now adays, back then people worshipped music. And this is why JIMI HENDRIX is GOD!!!!! Light that Strat ablaze one more time JIMI.

in the song "Purple Haze", at the part where he says, "'Scuse me while I kiss the sky", a lot of people either laughed a lot or got mad because it sounded like he was saying, "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy". at concerts, he did it on purpose. lol what a sense of humor. xD

Castles Made of Sand is an amazing song. It sounds like he is playing the guitar backwards! It is amazing. The man had talent. RIP.

The guy is F..king unreal. I have very rare DVDs of him, and words fail to discribe his abillity on the guitar. I play Guitar also, and all I can do is admire the guy. He is to good for me to copy, even his less complex stuff, thats for sure. No one can even come close to what he has achieved in such a short time.
