Boomstam, you can't claim to know how it works, either! The problem atheists/nonbelievers have with the religious is that they make overarching claims about their god that exempts him for all laws of the universe. How can a god who is so selfish as to demand worship and damn those who refuse not let himself be known in the world? The god of the desert is the biggest prick of all time.
Granted, there is no way to disprove the existence of god, just as there is no way to disprove the existence of the celestial teapot. You only believe in this god, or jesus, because of when and where you were born. It is nothing but culture. This is proof enough for me that there is no such thing as a higher being.
Stop being conservative in this life because you believe you will get another one much better after you die. This is your only life!

If Jesus was a person who did what is claimed then in some peoples eyes that could be seen as good. But we live in a subjective and individualist life meaning that to confidently announce there is such a despotic being will offend others beliefs and will challenge their way of life... that's why there will be holy wars; philosophical struggles towards tyranny, that being the case in all cases, including those who denounce religion as they unconsciously believe that they are in control of their live.
Religion is a crouch to help people survive, some like tokiya may think that's weak... and i suppose some people are weaker than others, but it's just another psychological defense mechanism designated to our survival.
I believe I'm the god of my life as my views the only one i can purely see. Product of my experience. All gods are capable of killing and creating life. They are flawed, they are all honest in their deceit.
