Jehovah’s Witnesses are an international religion that rejects much of modern mainstream Christianity in favour of what they believe is a restored form of first-century Christianity.1[2] Jehovah's Witnesses are governed by their understanding of Scriptural laws and principles from the Bible and expanded by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. is a legal organisation in use by Jehovah’s Witnesses for their ministry work.

Are you sure you said “no”? Some people say, “I’m really busy right now” or some take literature from the Witnesses and secretly throw it away. In those cases the Witnesses will be back, because they think there may be interest. Believe it or not, some people really are interested. I have been a Witness for 13 years and studied the Bible with them for 10 years, prior to that, and have never met one who wanted to waste precious time. You know how The Lord’s Prayer says, “Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name”? Well, Jehovah is God’s name, and the Witnesses are trying to get Jehovah the recognition He deserves. They honestly do not want to bother anyone. It’s simply a side effect of trying to reach those who want to know. Jesus sent his disciples out by twos, house to house, and Matthew 24:14 says: ”... this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.” So it’s going to go on until the end of the world, as we know it. The world will never be totally destroyed, though, because Psalm 37:29 says “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.” Doesn’t that sound nice. And we know that hasn’t happened, as of yet. So, you can email me if you have ANY Bible questions, whatsoever. I will do my best to answer them, strictly from the Bible. But I will not contact you otherwise. In other words, I’ll take that as a “no”. Thanks, maureen123@cox.net

I accidentally opened the door w/o checking who it was once and they kept me at the door for literally about half an hour even after I tried to politely tell them I already had a religion and was not interested. sssooo for the girl who said that they do take “no” as an answer, thats a lie. After that they would not stop coming to my house. I dont see why they think they have to recruit people.

Jehova’s Witnesses are easy to get rid of electronchelle, you just have to be creative. For example, start reciting how much an hour it is for sex, headjobs, ect and if they start rambling on with religious shit you have to politely inform them that religious roleplay will cost them an extra $50. If that doesn’t work, just do random weird things that will scare them away.

To Maureen, ... Holy shit the Jehovah’s have gone online. It’s like a bad horror movie. No matter where you run, there’s always a Jehova round the corner or hiding in your mailbox, with their little bible in hand and ready to leap into action and start reciting bible quotes to you. Is there no escape?

Debunking the Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs:
 A) They are at your door to recruit you for enslavement to their watchtower corporation, they will say that "we are just here to share a message from the Bible" this is deception right off.
B) The 'message' is their false Gospel that Jesus is ruling in heaven already since 1914.The problem with this is it's not just a cute fairy tale,Jesus warned of the false prophets who would claim "..look he is here in the wilderness,or see here he is at the temple"
C) Their anti-blood transfusion ban has killed hundreds if not thousands D) once they recruit you they will "love bomb" you in cult fashion to also recruit your family & friends or cut them off. There are many more dangers,Jehovah's Witnesses got a bad rap for good and valid reasons.

God gave people the right to choose to accept him or not. Knocking on peoples' doors and following them around waving a bible is pretty intimidating to people who don't know about Christ, or highly annoying to people who left the religion for personal reasons. I say let people choose on their own. They will come to God if they want too. I was one of those people that left Christ/religion, becuase it seemed a lot like a taboo. It was forced upon me. I was born Baptsist. . People condemed me for things that 'made a bad impression on the church'. I came back when I felt I wanted to believe. That is one reason I don't go to church either Now I am a believer, but I don't go around antagonizing people.  It shouldn't matter what you believe, or whether or not you do. You don't go around harassing people, and 'no' means NO. Not 'come back later'.

Sorry for the essay @_@

My uncle and his family are Jehovah's Witnesses and the others, like my dad and other uncles, arn't. my uncle never leaves the state unless it has something to do with J.W. they don't even have Christmas, the day everyone says Jesus Christ was born! how stupid is that?! but i still love them and they just get on my last fuckin nerves when i say something simple like shit. they go ape-shit on me, man! they are not right, and they still think they know everything! pisses me off. and now almost everyone i know is gonna be a J.W. because they have a crush on one. simply fucked in the head, if you ask me.

I already go to a church, but they wont leave us alone! We have resorted to pretending like we're not home, and they go away now.So thats one way to get rid of them.

Honestly, you guys are really simple-minded if you spend all your time bashing a religion that you have no real knowledge of. Googling the term only gives you an antagonistic perspective of things and honestly, thats belittling yourself. (Ex: websites that say that Jehovahs Witnesses worship the Devil... hmm, thats ironic, I didnt know Christians did that. Oh right, they dont.) It doesnt matter whether you agree with their points of views or religious beliefs but they do not deserve to be disrespected the way you seem to enjoy doing so much.

2. You said they kept you at the door for half an hour... thats one person that did that to you, you cant judge an entire religion based on the acts of one person.

3.Yes they do not celebrate Christmas, one reason being that the Bible itself proves that Jesus was not born on Dec. 25, as a matter of fact, he was born around October. (Id explain if you ask)

And there are other relgions that do not celebrate this holiday, but you seem to overlook that, hmm? And when has it become someones place to make other peoples personal decisions for them?

4.  They preach what they believe. No one forces you to believe it as well, thats why we have something called (drumroll) free will. And i dont know if you noticed, but there are other religions that also go and "preach the word of God". Actually, the majority of Christian religions preach in one form or another, including: Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists, etc.

5. Im going to stop here, I just mean to get this point across: respect people, respect their religious beliefs, and dont waste your time and energy being doltish and saying rude things like this, whether you choose to follow this path of life or not.

I dont feel this religion. Im a Christian, belongs to Church of Christ. I have a friends who belong to this group but their rules suck. You cant even have a blood transfusion wen u nid it, means u'l die no matter what. It's pretty lame that they think it's a sin but i dont think if that's written in the bible. Blood is life so y not have it.? They dont even allowed to sing their national anthem coz it's forbidden. What kind of religious group is that? Really pissing me off!

I've been told that they recruit you because there's only a few spaces left in heaven, and only for the ones who've been witnesses for the longest gets in, so it's kindda a list where the ones at the bottom doesn't get in , so you wouldn't wanna be there. So of course you'd recruit people, so you 'move up the list'.

Religion is a wierd thing.
