I have a few Japanese friends i met at Big Bend Community College… they are the sweetest people you will ever meet! They look so very young! it is insane! Some are very child-like. Shunsui is going to be a famous singer (i can already tell!) he has the most beautiful voice i have ever heard! I am very interested in their culture and i hope to learn their language. <sup>^_^</sup>
The only Japanese that i know is "tanjoubi omedeto" Happy Birthday! ^_^

Japanese is the best language and I just love it! o
I think it's much closer to the way I actually think (maybe closer to the way humans tend to think?), despite being a native English speaker. Even though I still have yet to master the language, I often find myself thinking in Japanese (sometimes with English thrown in). It's much more conductive to thinking, imo; who really thinks with proper grammar in English?
However, I'm glad I started out with English. There's something to be said for the way a carefully and skillfully constructed statement can come together in an informative, artistic, and complete way. I don't think one can "weave words" in Japanese as awesomely as is possible in English. With so many different, interesting and beautiful ways to say things, English learning must be a real nightmare...
Then there's my arch-nemesis kanji - it can go straight to hell. Thanks for nothing, China.
