It is a member of the United Nations, G8, OECD and APEC, with the world's fifth largest defense budget. It is also the world's fourth largest exporter and sixth largest importer. It is a developed country with high living standards (8th highest HDI) and a world leader in technology, machinery, and robotics.

Yeah, and I agree with DeanSmithEngland18 .. Have a reason for liking the country! Not because of the cool clothes and people. >.> I'm Japanese, and I'm not obsessed with it. ._. And for those who want to live there, sure, it is a pretty place, but I heard the economy isn't all berries and cream. Not to burst your bubble or anything.
Not everything there is a ray of sunshine!! Go learn about the history of it or something, then you can appreciate it more.
