Jackie Jackson

He began practicing with his brothers at an early age and became singer and dancer of the both: the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. With his distinguishable high voice, he often led the other singers. In 1973 Jackie recorded his first self titled solo album for Motown Records. In 1989 Jackie released his second, and so far, his last, solo album 'Be The One' on Polydor Records. In 1991 he teamed up with Tito, Jermain and Randy to release "2300 Jackson Street".

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 (as a member of the Jackson 5).

His original first name Sigmund was his father's idea. His mother didn't like it and was glad that he eventually got the nickname Jackie.
