How can you associate Islamism with Nazism? Is it the same for you? I agree Integrism can be dangerous, but the integrism is not the apanage of Muslims, Christians can be as well.

Evil-Mist: “How can you associate Islamism with Nazism? Is it the same for you?”

Pretty close.

Evil-Mist: “I agree Integrism can be dangerous”

I’m not commenting on integrism.

Evil-Mist: “integrism is not the apanage of Muslims, Christians can be as well”

Terrorism is coming from the muslim world, not the christian world.

Fundamentalism is not the apanage of Muslims, Christians can be as well.

“Terrorism is coming from the muslim world, not the christian world.” Those who want terror are not representative of the all muslim world. Nazism and Islamism are not the same.

Even if I can understand the Sein Féin point of view, the I.R.A. has been acting as a terrorist organization for years and it is obviously Christian.

Evil-Mist: “Those who want terror are not representative of the all muslim world”

of COURSE not. no one ever said that.

Evil-Mist: “Nazism and Islamism are not the same”

that’s why the term Islamo-Nazi Terrorism was coined. Nazism was the big evil of half a century ago. Islamo-Nazi Terrorism is the big evil of today.

Evil-Mist: “the I.R.A. has been acting as a terrorist organization for years and it is obviously Christian”

what obvious to you may not be obvious to me.

with sympathies to you and those you know who have suffered at their hands, the IRA is not a player on the world stage.

Nazism was. Islamo-Nazi Terrorism is.

“that’s why the term Islamo-Nazi Terrorism was coined. Nazism was the big evil of half a century ago. Islamo-Nazi Terrorism is the big evil of today.” I understand what you mean but try to use a more accurate vocabulary such as muslim extremism for instance, that makes more sense, at least in my opinion.

“what obvious to you may not be obvious to me.” Isn’t the I.R.A. catholic ?

I use the most accurate vocabulary.

muslim extremism means islamic beliefs on the fringe that may or may not include violence.

islamo-nazi terrorism, on the other hand, specifically means islamic beliefs on the fringe that definitely include violence.

Evil-Mist: “Isn’t the I.R.A. catholic ?”

nope.

I take it you’re not only not christian, but that you’re anti-christian.

do you know any christians? if so, you know they repudiate anyone who engages in terrorism in the name of christianity.

christianity has always been the greatest force for good in the world. centuries ago, christianity included violence. christianity has since gone thru a reformation and fixed that part of itself.

thus christian extremism, while it exists today, is not violent. for instance, the amish and the mennonites are both christian extremist groups. but they are not violent. far from it.

“Do you know any christians? if so, you know they repudiate anyone who engages in terrorism in the name of Christianity.”

A lot of my friends are Christians. I’m not Anti-Christian but I think religion is one of the main dissension between catholics and protestants in Ulster. The fact is that the ethnic background is designated by the faith, but you are right the Pope doesn’t guarantee the use of violence ; there is much more than religion in this conflict but we still refer to them by their religious background (We make the same confusion between Arabs and Muslims.).

“Muslim extremism means islamic beliefs on the fringe that may or may not include violence. Islamo-nazi terrorism, on the other hand, specifically means islamic beliefs on the fringe that definitely include violence.” I understand your point but Nazi refers to a really specific concept peculiar to the National Sozialist (Mein Kampft), what about Fascism?

“Christianity has always been the greatest force for good in the world. Centuries ago, Christianity included violence. Christianity has since gone thru a reformation and fixed that part of itself.”

I would not say that, during the Spanish Inquisition, a lot of Conquistadores manage to rob the Amerindian population in the name of God, I know true Christians would repudiate that but it’s a fact. More recently, during W.W.II, the Catholic Church (Pius XXII ) didn’t try to prevent the Shoah. Nevertheless, as you said, Christianity has since gone thru a reformation and fixed that part of itself. I’ve respect for John-Paul II thanks to his forgiveness. Nowadays I think Christianity is rather positive because it promotes Peace but I’m still critical of extremism wherever it comes.

I’m sorry because most of my examples are about Catholicism whereas you must be Baptist (I guess), but you are speaking about the whole Christianity including Catholicism.
