iPod is a brand of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Inc. (2001-10-23) and launched on October 23, 2001. The product line-up includes the hard drive-based iPod Classic, the touchscreen iPod Touch, the video-capable iPod Nano, and the screenless iPod Shuffle. The iPhone can function as an iPod but is generally treated as a separate product. Former iPod models include the compact iPod Mini and the spin-off iPod Photo (since reintegrated into the main iPod Classic line). iPod Classic models store media on an internal hard drive, while all other models use flash memory to enable their smaller size (the discontinued Mini used a Microdrive miniature hard drive). As with many other digital music players, iPods, excluding the iPod Touch, can also serve as external data storage devices. Storage capacity varies by model.

I have the new ipod Nano and i love it!
I even lost it in the snow once and it was there for about 45mins and it still worked!

iPod is the shit. right now im sad since my iPod stopped working. now im going to be bored at school without it. i guess i have to buy a mp3 now wich are still good.

Ipods are heavily overrated. Here's some reasons why:
Reasons why the ipod is overrated in no particular order:
1. Average, non-stellar sound quality.
2. Lack of codec support.
3. Poor compatibility, no open sourced encoding.
4. No Windows media player support(even though WMP isn't that great it's still widely used).
5. No 3rd party music store support.
6. Lack of choice(ranging from player colour, software, and tech support), but the new nano has changed this.
7. You can't just plug it into any computer and start adding songs and media.
8. Can only be synced with one or two computers.
9. Digital Rights Management.
10. Files bought from itunes don't work in other mp3 players.
11. Must use proprietary transfer cables.
12. Must use itunes unless you go through the trouble of downloading plug ins for different media players.
13. No gapless play back.
14. Cannot delete files off of the player itself.
15. No voice recording.
16. No FM or AM tuner(with the exception of the itouch).
17. Battery life quite shorter than other players, also it's lifespan drastically diminshes over time.
18. Slower navigation speed, a little bit more clumsier than other tactile players
19. No memory expansion.
20. Priced high for few features(itouch has a lot of features but still grossly expensive).
ipod sucks. it's grossly overpriced, without much to make up for it. Typically, they cost several hundred dollars. i bought a PHILLIPS mp3 player for $20 and am perfectly happy with it.

i got an iPod for my birthday :DDD
the ipod is genius! easy to use, great colors and has a life span of five years practically :] plus they can hold videos! now thanks to the ipod touch, a mini computer! woo hoo!

Thank God For Ipod’s lol i remember when i was 12 i had a portable cd player at the time it was okay but i started to Loose Intrest. Now an ipod can have as many as songs as you want, Its Amazing How Technology Itself changes over the years, I Love it!
