I disagree xPlatyusx. People steals money and makes society crumble for the market. Not iPods.

i agree with mr. boomy there is no crumbling market b/c of ipods there are just a lot of people with white cords coming out of their ears.

But i would die without my ipod (exaggeration of course).

I bought 30GB iPod 2 days back. I think its awesome.

But I was thinking I should have bought an 80GB one as budget wasn't a constraint.

The 80GB iPod boasts of audio playback time of 20 hours, as against 14 hours for 30GB one.

Regarding videos, I guess iPods should be best used for listening to the music, not for watching the videos.

Am I at the receiving end by purchasing a 30GB one instead of a 80GB?

I want your views on my decision friends.

I have a 30gb and I never watch videos actually. If your music collection's bigger than 30gb, then a 80gb would've been nice since you wouldn't have any work choosing which music's to upload.

If you're using your ipod just for music, I think the 30GB one is just fine. 30GB will hold about 7,500 songs. The 80GB will hold about 20,000. So unless you're going to have every song ever made on your ipod, the 30GB is just fine. I'm having a hard time just getting to 1,000 songs on mine!

My iPod's almost full, with around 4500 songs, no videos! :)

I have a 30gb and I'm doing just fine, but like trix said if you want every song that you have or have heard then get the 80gb, but if you change it like me then 30gb is enough  :)

I guess I am pondering unnecessarily over my decision, which I guess was correct.

So far I have loaded around 700 songs and they include almost all the numbers which I normally listen to.

Infact its the fascination with such gadgets, which makes people to think and possess more and more products of sophistication, even though they may not be utilised even 25% of their capacity.

But I still think I should have bought an 80GB one.

I don't like to spend money when there's no need to, so even if there is something bigger, my 30gb works just fine! But 80gb would be enough for me anyway! :)

ive had like five of these nicked of me, die bastards, get off your arse and buy one!... no, it was most likely my own stupidity but to hell with that.

I keep telling my friends to get Ipods but they wont listen and go out and but crap MP3 players. They brag about how much better they are than Ipods, and I just smile a week later when they're already broken and I get to ask "So where is your MP3?" ;)
