iPod is a brand of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Inc. (2001-10-23) and launched on October 23, 2001. The product line-up includes the hard drive-based iPod Classic, the touchscreen iPod Touch, the video-capable iPod Nano, and the screenless iPod Shuffle. The iPhone can function as an iPod but is generally treated as a separate product. Former iPod models include the compact iPod Mini and the spin-off iPod Photo (since reintegrated into the main iPod Classic line). iPod Classic models store media on an internal hard drive, while all other models use flash memory to enable their smaller size (the discontinued Mini used a Microdrive miniature hard drive). Does anybody know the lifespan of an iPod? How long is it before you can no longer recharge the battery?
No idea. One of us will find out one day though. Ring your local Mac store. They may be able to guestimate it for you.

So overhyped it makes me sick. It’s become a fashion item, and it’s not even the best mp3 player around. If people actually did their research, there’s far better players on the market. Personally I wouldn’t be seen dead with one, I’m happy with my 40GB iRiver.

for the lifespan… i’ve had it for like a year, and it’s been through the washing machine, and it still works… and stays charged for a while. just putting that out there.

the battery leasts about 2 years, i got a new one some weeks ago…
i had my shuffle 4 bout 1 year and it broke same wif my friends and my other friend infact all the shuffles r breaking :(

i spend $400 on the first ipod with a click wheel, best $400 of my own money (not my parents!) that i ever spent. course that one died and i got a video. i dont know how i could ever live without it
