Although their interaction was initially very adversarial, Kagome and InuYasha's relationship gradually changes over the course of the series, and Kagome's kindness and acceptance of InuYasha has had a noticeable effect on his attitude. Although the two are often seen fighting, they both have feelings for each other. Inuyasha is portrayed as quite protective of Kagome, and often becomes anxious when Kagome sees him protecting Kikyo. In many episodes InuYasha has been to Kagome's era, and once met Kagome's friends Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi when he entered her window while they were in her room. To Kagome's surprise, her 'boyfriend' wins them over.
Kagome and InuYasha had a rocky start. Being the reincarnation of Kikyo, Kagome has a very close resemblance to her. Consequently, the resentment InuYasha held for Kikyo at that time was carried over to Kagome. As the series progresses, however, the relationship between Kagome and InuYasha changes for the better. InuYasha’s tough guy façade slowly dissolves and they fall in love in the typical shōnen fashion. However, Kikyo, InuYasha’s former love, is revived from the grave (using part of Kagome's soul) and InuYasha finds that he still has lingering feelings toward Kikyo. InuYasha decides that he must avenge Kikyo, because she died chasing after him, and he owes her his life. However, Kagome decides to stay with him anyway when she realizes that she loves him. She believes that InuYasha loves Kikyo more, but she will always stays by his side. InuYasha's love for Kagome continues to grow, even though he still cares for Kikyo. This intense love triangle becomes one of the main conflicts within the manga/anime.
As a comic relief, the two argue frequently throughout the anime, in some cases about Kikyo, which sometimes ends with Kagome saying "osuwari" ("sit" in the English dub) and InuYasha splatting to the ground. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo realize that Kagome and InuYasha are in love before the twosome do. It's more evident how InuYasha's concern over Kagome is shown a few chapters after Kikyo's death (chapter 465). InuYasha asked Kagome to stay in modern Tokyo until Naraku was defeated, fearing that she would suffer the same fate as Kikyo. Kagome however decides that she will stay with InuYasha no matter what. In response to this, he holds her hand and tells her that he will protect her with his life. After that, InuYasha's feelings for Kagome remain constant, although he still hasn't officially expressed them.
Further evidence of his feelings appear in Chapter 556. There, InuYasha admits to himself everything Kagome has done for him, including teaching him how to smile, how to trust people, how to shed tears for others, and how to show strength and kindness. He also says that he believes Kagome was born to meet him and for her sake, he was born to meet her as well. InuYasha ultimately saves Kagome from the Shikon no Tama by giving her hope that he'd be by her side. This leads to the Shikon no Tama's destruction, which causes the two of them to be transported to Kagome's time. Inuyasha returns to the Feudal Era where he resides for three years while Kagome stays in her world to finish high school. Eventually, they are reunited and married.

Manga's ongoing but I haven't come across any direct confessions between these two yet…how infuriating!!! Anyone can tell HE loves her but he's too proud to admit it, or maybe he just doesn't want to show his ningen side. In any case, it's kinda unfair since Kagome's a lot more showy with her feelings towards Inuyasha. Men can be so…damned infuriating! (Now you know why I totally love-hate this anime, hehe)

No offense, but I never liked Kagome even for a second... she can burn in hell. She is a biatch that came between the relationship of Inuyasha and Kikyo. She wished for Kikyo to dissappear and was even happy after Kikyo died.
I prefer Kikyo way better cuz she is a pure, innocent priestess that helped many people. She even sacrificed her life for Inuyasha and a typical modern biatch like Kagome can never compete with that.
Not only that she bosses Inuyasha around! She uses the 'sit' command way too much for no apparent reason! Just who does she think she is?! If hope she never ever gets together with Inuyasha.

Sasukefan: Hmm…I think it would have been fair if you'd only said you didn't prefer Kagome to end up with Inuyasha but it's not fair to say mean things about her. We are all entitled to our own preferences and we have every right to show whom we like so long as we don't put down the choice of others. I mean, how would you feel if someone would say that Sasuke is such a "psychotic, I'm-so-in-love with my brother freakazoid?" That would not be fair as well. Arwen is right, let's just express our opinions here in a friendly fashion. I for one find nothing "bitchy" about Kagome.

In any case, it would have been a nice discussion of the love triangle only if other people weren't so rude and vulgar. Sasukefan was very outspoken in his/her opinion of the pairing but he/she was never mean and made the discussion very lively and interesting. I really admired that. I like Kagome but also Kikyo on the same time... I don't know exactly which one of them I want to be with Inuyasha (I guess Kagome)... but from what I heard (a friend told me) Kikyo dies at the end - I really hope it woun't be like that.

Hmm…I don't think there's much chance of Inuyasha ending up together with Kikyo since she's in reality really dead only there were several instances in the anime and manga that the author sort of "resurrected" her. I also don't think Kagome will end up that easily with Inuyasha since he has so many issues especially about being half-demon and that stigma of his mother being a human and all. Oh well, let's just see what happens, ne? Either way it's bound to be very interesting! _

Okay, the anime what I have watched are, Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden, Dragonball/DragonballZ, Bleach, YuYu Hakusho, Detective School Q, Rorouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist!
Yu Yu Hakusho is the first anime I've ever watched that really got me hooked. I love Kurama and Hiei ^ _^. Rurouni Kenshin is of course a classic and will always be in my top five best anime list, especially with Tsukiohen and Seisouhen. I used to like Bleach but after the Seiretei Arc, things became kinda dragging with Ichigo getting all emo and stuff. Oh and FMA really rockz! I adore the Elric brothers. Inuyasha is also one of my fave animes but I'm a certified Nana fan, Honey and Clover, Slam Dunk, Hunter x Hunter, Deathnote, and Tennis no Ohjiisama.
I haven't seen any of those. but now that you've mentioned them, I'm rather curios. I've only watched Spiral, Gravitation, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, and... um... can't remember more... ^_^'
and about Inuyasha, I'm also curios what will happen in the end...
and, tho I am a girl, I agree with you Sesshoumarusama that girls have no right to rule/boss over men. but it's also applicable the other way around :D

Sesshoumaru is much better, because he is more honourable, silent, cool, calm, stronger, and above all he is a pure youkai unlike this hanyou Inuyasha. In the manga, he gets the this sword called Bakusaiga which is much stronger than the Tessaiga.
and to top it off, Sesshoumaru-sama can never be controlled by a worthless girl unlike the 'pride-less' Inuyasha.

hi hi. you really like Sesshoumaru, don't you. I also like him,even if he looks so cold sometimes (I mean, almost everytime)... I was very surprised when he revived that little girl (what was her name?). but Inuyasha remains my favorite. I like half demons better than pure youkai.
