Telling someone you love them is nice but only if its not done all the time, like at the end of every phone call, or just after sex or at end of an argument - Save it for when it is really burning one sunday whilst washing up plates and you look over at your partner and really feel it.
It doesnt have to be partners either - The happiest moment i can remember was when my dad told me how proud he was of me - I try to tell my daughter that I love her and am proud often ... perhaps too often.
Exactly Saddam, when I was a kid I heard it very infrequently, I wish I heard it more, BUT you are correct about hearing it all the time. It's nice to hear a lot, but when it starts to sound like a recording it kind of loses something. I swear I think I tell my boys "I love you" too much, but the way I figure it kids only pay attention to 1/2 of what parents say anyway, so you have to say it a lot!!

Maybe I just need a yes in front of everything like. “yes, I Do Really Love You…”
That's pretty funny! Or, you might try "Yes, clean your room", or "Yes, stop hitting your brother" You may be onto something!!
