Hans Matheson (born August 7, 1974 in Outer Hebrides, Scotland) is a Scottish-born actor who made his feature film debut as Johnny Silver in Jez Butterworth's critically acclaimed directorial debut, Mojo. Prior to Mojo, Matheson appeared in various plays and television series.
He also acted in Bille August's film version of Les Misérables, as well as a TV miniseries based on Marion Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon. In 2002 he played Doctor Zhivago in the TV version of Boris Pasternak's literary classic. Other notable film roles include Tomas in I Am Dina, Angus in Half Light and Earl of Essex in the TV miniseries The Virgin Queen.
