Greatest cover song EVER . It gives me the chills.
Hallelujah is really an indestructible song. The lyrics are too profound. Jeff Buckley’s version is perfection, however. Cassandra Wilson has a similarly themed song called, “Solomon Sang” off of her album, “New Moon Daughter” which is also perfect and profound. “Love for woman, love for God, not so simple, not so hard…and when he stood before the altar, Solomon sang.” both songs take my breath away and bring me to that spiritual place music can claim.
This is one of the best versions I have ever heard of this song. However, I think this is the second best Jeff Buckley song, only falling behind Forget Her.
