It all started with an anime, .Hack//Sign. It was based on a MMORPG from cyber connect and altimit called “The World”. “The World” was based on an epic poem called “The epitath of twilight” from a woman called Emma since the game creator harold loved emma and when she died he wanted to immortalize her. In the anime it is focused on a girl wavemaster named tsukasa. She finds Aura, a A.I., ticks off alot of people, and soon (basically) makes “the World” mad by trying to wake up Aura. That is were the anime ends and the video game begins. .Hack//infection is the first of 4 games starting from where .Hack//Sign left off. Kite, a new twin blade, is being help by his school friend his first time logged into “The World” and the trip ends disasturously. His friend, Orca, is commatose because of Skeith, a monster made to keep aura from truely awakening. Throughout the 4 games Kite and his friends try to get rid of Skeith and his 7 predecesors (innis, magus, fidchell, gorre, macha, tarvos, corbenik) as well as cubia who appears after defeating skeith. Once its is all over aura is born and everything is fine and dandy. The saga continues with “legend of the twilight” a cute anime of after the game (even includeing mistrals super smart daughter) or shugo and rena who win the outfits of the famous ”.hackers” ( kite and blackrose from the game) and end up haveing to put up with many A.I’s and an annoying group of ‘do gooders’ who work for the system. Random books and manga are also added into .hack includeing A.I. busters, legend of the twilight manga, and various novels. Since i dont know much about .Hack//Roots ill just say that its a precusor anime to the newest addition to .hack//, the game .hack//G.U. G.U. is the newest game and is slightly based off the former games/animes/books. since there was a fire at CCcorp most of the data was ruined and they used what was left along with new and original data to recreate the world. Also if they did that they would not have to put up with the same things the previous .hack// game coverd, so they thought anyways. In this new game you play Haseo, a pkk adept rouge, as you are trying to find and kill a pk that looks like Kite since Kite pked you and made you go from lvl. 133 to 1. Also in this version you yourself is the terror of death, skeith. the other phases are in other players as well which you find sooner or later. That is it for now. ^-
