Girugamesh was formed in 2004 by Satoshi, Nii, Shuu, and Ryo. They began by playing live concerts and releasing demo tapes. In August, they released their first single "(Kaisen sengen) - Kikaku kata enban". The single climbed to the #10 spot on the Oricon Indies chart.
In 2005, the band went on a tour called 2005 Fuyu no Yukidoke Tourou. Shortly afterwards, they released their first DVD that included clips of their concert performances. Girugamesh then went on two more consecutive tours and released their first mini album!
They also made a cover of the popular song for NANA, which was originally sung by Mika Nakashima-- "Glamorous Sky"
